“I’m Fine,” Even Though You’re Not – But You Will Be
“I’m fine.”
It’s something we say a lot when we’re going through depression.
We’re moody . . .
“I’m fine.”
We snap and yell at our family . . .
“I’m fine.”
We’re tired and just want to lay in bed all day . . .
“I’m fine.”
We’re quiet and distant to others around us . . .
“I’m fine.”
But you’re really not, Mama. You have a war raging inside your mind and it’s not meant to be fought alone.
So, instead of saying you’re fine, speak the truth.
I need help.
I’m not feeling too well.
I’m not dealing with things like I should be.
I’m crying a lot and I need to admit it’s been too long since I felt great about something—anything.
Speak up and let your voice be heard, and know this: God has not and WILL not ever abandon you. Period. (And Amen!)
Look to Him, seek help, and there will for sure be a day where you’ll say, “I’m fine,” and you really will be.
You really will be.
