Lord, Help Me Remember It All

Lord, help me remember it all. 

Every slobbery, wet kiss. 

Every snuggle and hug. 

Every giggle and every cheesy grin on those little lips. 

Every boo-boo and tear shed as they came running to Mama because she’s the only one who can make it better. 

Every toy that I’ve ever tripped over on the floor. 

All of the late nights rocking in that chair, trying to comfort a fussy baby. All of the moments when being in my arms and hearing my heartbeat, calmed my little one’s tears. 

All of the wobbly first steps and all the dance parties in the kitchen. 

All of the adorable things that they say that always made me chuckle.  

All of the moments where their eyes light up because they just learned something new. 

All of their firsts that would become my lasts. 

All of the hard parts where we just held each other close, weathering the storm. 

And all of the good parts full of joy and abundant blessings from You. 

Lord, I pray I remember all of the little moments. 

Help me remember all of the million little moments of motherhood . . . 

Because I know I’ll never get this moment again.
