Dear Daughter, I Pray You Find the One & Don’t Ever Let Him Go

Spread the love

Dear Daughter,

I pray you find a man who is a helper. The man who’s not afraid to take care of the kids or to roll his sleeves up and do the dishes. The one who gets up in the middle of the night with the baby so you can get some rest too.

I pray you find the man who loves to play around and be goofy. Not just because he’ll bring you laughter and joy, but because he’ll be active in his children’s lives. He’s the one who’s not afraid to crawl around on the floor while your kids ride him like a horse.

I pray you find the man who worships God first and you second. The man who will not only treat you like a princess, but who will treat you like the daughter of the King that you are.

Don’t marry the bad boy. While he appears exciting and adventurous, you’ll surely spend too much time trying to change him into the family man you desire. Marry the man you don’t need to change and who won’t try to change you.

But also, don’t get caught up in the man with the fancy job or the big house. Those are not the important things in life; marry the man who knows that and cherishes what is most important.

What I’m trying to say is I hope when you look at your father and I’s marriage, you see how a man should treat and love a woman. I pray you never settle for anything less because I sure got the best when I found your dad.

Find this man, and I’ll know you’re being treated the way you should be and that you’re being loved so hard. He’ll make you happy and care for you, all the days of his life.

And when you find him, don’t ever let him go.

Love,

Mommy
