Gosh, She’s Stubborn
Gosh, she’s stubborn.
God made a fierce little girl when He made my daughter, that’s for sure.
Sometimes I get so frustrated by her stubbornness and other times, I find it adorable.
She’s got a mind of her own, or more so, she knows what she wants and she’s not backing down. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with that. In the world we live in, those are admirable qualities in a woman.
But, gosh, it’s hard being the mom to a strong-willed, stubborn child. (Watch out for the teenage years . . . ) Some days it’s exhausting how much she tried my patience.
But then I remember—I’m stubborn, too.
I have a strong personality and I know what I want in life, too.
I don’t back down when I know my mind and what’s in my heart.
I’ve been told when I’m stubborn about something, that I’m exhausting to others as well. That I try others’ patience with how strong-willed I can be. (Sorry to my hubby!)
She got it from somewhere . . .
That little girl is fierce, but so is Mama.
And so, I’m sure . . .
God must be trying to teach me something.
