He Keeps Me Grounded

He grounds me. 

Any time I start going off about something (something that shouldn’t really be a big deal but I make it one), he is right there to bring me back down.

Whenever I start to lose focus on what truly matters or why I’m doing what I’m doing, he’s right there to refocus me. 

Those times when my tongue slips and I say something I shouldn’t, he’s there to say, “Whoa, Courtney, go talk to God about that one.” (Or something to that effect.) 

And whenever I’m feeling too ambitious, he brings me back down. 

But whenever I’m not aiming high enough, he’s there to push me along the way towards my goals. 

He points me back to God in every way, keeping me grounded in my position as a daughter of God. 

God uses my husband and his words every day.

I’m grateful to have a husband who pushes me when need be, centers me when he must, and who keeps me rooted in my relationship with Christ. 

He keeps me grounded every day.
