I’m Not a Perfect Mom, But I Rely On The One Who Is
I’m not the perfect mom.
I sometimes snap at my kids when I’ve lost my patience.
You’ll sometimes find me locked inside the bathroom because I just need a minute. Just a little break from my own children. But I’m not afraid to cry in front of them and show my emotions. You’ll find me bawling my eyes in front of them when I’m having a hard day. (To be honest, they need to see that I’m human, too.)
I’m not the mom who is constantly entertaining them 24/7.
I’m not perfect . . .
I raise my voice.
I get angry.
I get moody.
I mess up and ask for forgiveness from my own children . . . like, a lot. But I’m teaching them to give grace to others, so I’m going to expect the same to be done for me.
I’m not the perfect mom.
Just a mom who has a heart for Jesus.
Just a mom who loves her kids with all her heart, and who gets up and tries every day.
I’m not meant to be perfect, I’m meant to rely on the One who is.
Thankfully, I have a Savior who covers me with grace.
Every. Single. Day.
