Raising Arrows
I’m raising arrows over here.
My goal is to raise kids who love Jesus, love others, and that want to go out and do good in the world.
That’s my mission.
Yeah, my decisions in motherhood may look different from others’.
No, I don’t have it all figured out. These kids didn’t come with a manual. I don’t claim to know it all or have the secret recipe for parenthood. All I have is a Bible for wisdom and the Holy Spirit for guidance.
Sure, I’m bound to make mistakes along the way. I’m human, that’s what happens. I’m not meant to be perfect, I’m meant to point my kids to their perfect Savior.
I’m just doing what God called me to do, and that’s raising arrows and to point my kids in the direction that they should go in life.
Will I succeed? I don’t know, I pray that I do. It’s a mother’s fiercest prayer to know that her children are walking in the truth.
If I fail? Well, at least God knows how hard I tried and I’ll love my kids either way.
But for now, I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing.
I’m going to pray that I raise kind, loving humans that love Jesus.
That’s my contribution to this world.
“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.” Psalm 127:3
