I’m Raising Imperfect Christians

Spread the love

Yes, I’m raising my kids as Christians, but I don’t want them to ever think they have to be perfect angels.

There is no such thing.

And I sure don’t want them to ever feel like they’ll be condemned by me or by anyone else for their imperfections or for their mistakes.

I definitely don’t want them to think others have to be perfect either, and in turn, to condemn and judge others for their mistakes.

I don’t want them to feel like they can’t come to me with their mistakes or that they can’t seek my advice in situations. I want them to come with me with it all, big or small. I want to exert the grace of Jesus when they do and show them how unconditional my love is for them.

My kids are not perfect.

I’m definitely not perfect.

But what I want them to know is they can always turn to their perfect Savior who loves them despite their flaws.

Just like their mama.
