You & Me, We’re Like Magnets
My husband and I were reflecting one night on our relationship recently.
We were just reminiscing on everything that we’ve been through and all of the obstacles we have faced as a couple. And as we were talking, my husband said something that stuck with me. He said, “We’re like magnets that just keep getting drawn to each other.”
Now that is so true because when life could’ve torn us apart or it got too hard to handle, we still chose each other. We still came back to each other every time.
When you get married, a lot of times people think that’s it. That the work to get to that point was the hard part.
But the hard part is always finding your way back together no matter the circumstances.
We’ve moved multiple times and had big changes in our lives. We’ve done long distance for a little while while I chased a career dream. He’s been supportive to me in times where I’ve battled anxiety and depression.
We’ve been through tough times and every single time, we’ve come out stronger together.
If there’s an obstacle in our way, we push it aside together.
If there’s been a tough season in our lives, we’ve held each other close to ride out the storm.
If there’s been a big, life altering decision to make that effects our family, we take the time to pray on the outcomes and always agree to make the decision that has our family’s best interests at heart.
We’re in it together. Till death do us part.
And when life tries to pull us a part, we’re like magnets that are drawn together- there’s no budging us.
